Let me just start off by saying, I love the desert. It’s always hot and the terrain is just so unique. There is no words that can capture the whisperings of the desert.

My time there was split up between Arizona and Nevada and I’d have to say, as much as I did enjoy Las Vegas, nothing compared to the Arizona desert life. My time in Arizona was mostly spent doing touristy stuff, lounging by the pool, and going on hikes. My favourite part was the hikes. Now, I’m not a big fan of doing active stuff beyond walking when on vacation (I’m more of a lounge around vacationer when it comes to hot places) but the scenery and terrain in Arizona was not to be missed. I went on four major hikes while I was there. All of them were amazing, some were more challenging than others, but all were filled with amazing views and a satisfying amount of accomplishment each time. Hiking in 30 degree heat can be tiresome but it can be alot of fun too. Here is a rating of each one.

Difficulty – the level of physical endurance required to complete the hike in its entirety.

Scenery – how beautiful the surrounding scenery was during the hike.

Final View – how nice the view was at the end.

Satisfaction – level of satisfaction and accomplishment felt at the end.
